5 things

Loving this week:

- the taste of these cornmeal pancakes (I added the zest of one lemon to the batter and served them with fresh fruit, honey butter, and a side of sausage)

- the words and recipes from this book, which I read in a few short days and promptly added to my list of all-time favorite reads

- the color inspiration from West Elm's current catalog, especially the whipped yellow of this room

- the promise of banana soft serve for an after-dinner treat tonight, simple and perfect for summer (similar recipe seen here)

- the feeling that our life is just full and complete enough at the moment (contentment?); I am home and mostly settled from a week in Yosemite, Ryan is packed and almost out the door for a week in central Oregon, we have the promise of a beach weekend coming up as well as a little train trip to celebrate our anniversary (five! years!), and our friends B, J, J, & S are coming to town soon - life is good.
