My week on the down side:- Several things were stolen out of my car, including my prized sewing machine (worse, I left the car unlocked, which made it an easy target and partially my fault...but who steals a sewing machine!?)
- I have a sore, scratchy throat
- I accidentally turned the wrong stove-top burner on, scorching my empty tea pot so dramatically the bottom literally burned off (and is now stuck to said burner)
- I have to work this weekend
But on the bright side:- Ryan comes home three weeks from today
- I heard my baby's heartbeat yesterday and it is strong
- I am taking a terrarium class at Artemisia tomorrow
- There is a fantastic murder mystery book-on-tape here to keep me company while I work
- I have renters insurance, which I'm trusting will compensate me for my losses and allow me to purchase a brand spanking new sewing machine, which will restore all that is wrong in the world

Too many downsides - that's horrible! I'm glad that you can find some upsides however - concentrate on those. If you need to borrow a sewing machine, or a hot water kettle, please let me know!
Thanks Abby! Water under the bridge at this point, I suppose. Now I'm just concentrating on replacing everything as quickly as possible to pretend it never happened. Just don't forget to lock your car doors!
I turned on the wrong burner and managed to melt a black plastic strainer all over the stove about a month ago...still scraping black specks! Love you Rebecca!
Oh noooo! Mom told me about your stolen sewing machine! How is it possible there are such desperate souls out there that a sewing machine will make it all better?? Well, if you were a desperate pregnant mama who loved to sew, I suppose it all makes sense somehow....
LOVE YOU, and your raging (forgetful...normal pregnant...) hormones!
Oh, and isn't it just magical that first time you hear the beating heart of your babe? Each one was unbelievable for me. It makes it all suddenly sooo real. LOVE!
