Last night we had our third annual Beer Tasting in honor of the birthday boy. Somehow we forgot to take pictures, so I thought I'd share the top three beers of 2010 instead, along with the menu, our Christmas tree (above), and our hiding kitty.
So, without further ado, the most popular beers of the evening (2008 & 2009 favorites):1. Brrr, Widmer Brothers
2. Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock
3. Festival Strong Winter Ale, Terminal Gravity tied with Ambacht Black Gold Porter
The menu:
- Spiral cut ham (the best one we've had yet, thanks to the hub) served with rolls, sliced havarti cheese, and several mustards. I forgot to put out the cranberry sauce.
- Cheese ball, crackers, grapes
- Mac & cheese salad with buttermilk dressing
- Veggie platter with ranch dressing & hummus
- Rum balls
- Gramercy Tavern's Gingerbread served with whipped cream and caramel sauce
