For the cause of it

I always love the cute product + good cause combo.

For every pair of TOMS Shoes you buy, a pair is given to a child in need. TOMS aims to give 200,000 pairs of shoes away this year to kids all around the world!

And the best part? They are fabulous and casual and just plain different from the norm. My friend Christina had them on the other night - gotta tell ya', the red & white stripes went perfectly with her denim skirt & bright yellow shirt. Need me a pair!

Here in Portland you can find them at Nordstrom’s (among other places) for ladies, gents, & kiddos for about $40 each.

I just wrote this long comment and blogger lost it! Darn!

I think Tom's are ugly, really ugly. Good cause does not equal good fashion!

I hope you continue writing and posting. This blogger world is a fun place!

Thanks for your comment. I agree, they’re not the most glamorous pair of shoes. Heck, they’re not even work-appropriate for many of us. But they are different from the mainstream. With a fun casual outfit I think they work well enough for me to buy a pair.

And, not to belabor the point, if $40 is all it takes to put some shoes on a child’s feet half way around the world, why not? It’s a win win.
