Weekend in review

Doesn't this photo look like a painting?

I feel like its been a while since I swung by last. Probably because it has!

We are in the midst of a super busy weekend (what weekend isn't?). More and more, I'm becoming a fan of the four-day work week. I really just think that extra day off would do amazingly relaxing things for me. I just know it would.

Last night we went to a beautiful wedding for Adam & Michelle - two of the most thrilled-to-be-alive, generous people we know. And when she walked down the aisle with her dad, instead of playing the typical or traditional wedding march, Adam had selected the oldies song, "Here Comes the Sun," which his cousin sang, accompanied by a guitar, violin and an accordion. Not a dry eye in the house.

Today I'm finishing up two side projects that I'm very excited to be involved in, one for a bride-to-be and the other for a town looking to building a new dinosaur museum. They are opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of scale and glam but they are equally fun to work on.

Finally, but most certainly not least, I am in the middle of Breaking Dawn. Already I feel another love letter to S.M. itching its way out. What can I say? The best books ever? Yes. That this one in particular is very good? Yes. And does Edward disappoint? No, no, no. Last night at the wedding my buddy Siobhan and I were drooling over him. That prompted Ryan to comment that I get weird when I read these books. Well, they have an effect on me, is all.

So I'm off, to craft some, to read some, and to enjoy the rest of the weekend. Ta for now.
